Hailing from Richton, Miss., Coach Tilur Smith, has joined the coaching staff for baseball and football.

He teaches the Special Education children and is currently stationed in the resource room.

As a transfer from Perry County, he came to George County to coach football. He said Coach Brandon Davis contacted him and asked if he would be his coaching assistant.

Smith played baseball at Jones County Jr. College and University of South Alabama. He got his Master’s degree at William Carey and finished out at University of Jackson State.

Coach Smith likes to fish and cut grass in his free time. He likes to travel to Florida but would really love to go to Hawaii.

He finds unnecessary noise very aggravating.

Coach Smith offers a bit of advice to present and future students by saying, “Don’t rush time away.”
