New to George County High School is contemporary health teacher Anna Grace Cooley. In addition to teaching health, Cooley is also an assistant coach for both the girl’s soccer and softball teams.

Cooley graduated from George County High School in 2016 and furthered her education at Pearl River Community College for two years. She later concluded her college education at William Carey University after three more years there.

Cooley’s love for sports is what inspired her to become a teacher.

“I love sports, and I want to give back to the athletes the knowledge it’s given to me,” Cooley said.

In her free time Cooley enjoys spending time with her nieces, nephews and her golden retriever that she considers family. She also spends a large amount of her time on the Coast with her boyfriend.

This school year Cooley hopes to make an impact on those she encounters.

“I want to make a difference in the lives of my students and athletes,” Cooley said.
