After a school-wide vote, the 2022 homecoming court has been selected and preparations have begun for the Oct. 7 game.

Our homecoming court consists of 17 maids this year. The freshman maids are Natalie Dixon, Halleigh Mixon, Kimberly Sanders and Cambree Passeau.

The sophomore maids are Monica Arrington, Zoe Blankenship, Avery Box and Makenley Turner.

The junior maids are Anna Marie Edwards, Maggie Ferguson, Gracee Michini and Greenleigh Strahan.

The senior maids are JaNiya Conyers, Ashton Fairley, Johanna George, Kyleigh Passeau and Dana Whittington.

All of these girls are very excited and grateful that they have been chosen.

“I felt grateful that my class would vote me for something and let me be a representation of our class, it was really sweet,” Strahan said.

The student body will be voting for the homecoming queen during spirit week. The queen will be announced the night of the ceremony.

Sisters Kyleigh and Cambree Passeau are both excited to be on the court together. Cambree states that she is glad that she has an older sister that has been on homecoming court before and can help her prepare and answer her questions.

“It was kind of like two ways it could either go one of us could get it and the other one not, and that would be really sad, and if that would have gotten it over me,” Kyleigh said

The homecoming court will also be featured in the parade on Oct. 1 and the pep rally Oct. 7, with the ceremony beginning at 6 p.m. and kick off at 7 p.m.

A homecoming dance will be held immediately following the game in the cafeteria. Tickets are $5.
