George County High School has a new CTE class called entrepreneurship, that is taught by Judith Vosburg.
The goal of the entrepreneurship class is for the students to leave the class having a business or potential business.
According to Vosburg, the class is important because students need to be able to have the opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship and produce a business plan or potential business. The CTE class will help build students’ character traits.
“Entrepreneurship is a backbone of our U.S. economy,” Vosburg said.
Students will be presenting their business plans to a group of judges similar to “Shark Tank.” They will possibly be going on field trips to small businesses, as well.
Vosburg is a new teacher at the high school. She is looking forward to seeing students get excited about business and to see their businesses grow.
