At the high school, a website created last year, called MagicSchool AI, has been a relatively helpful resource for Teacher Academy instructor Holly Hulbert’s second year class.
The website helps teachers with creating resources such as powerpoints, helps with organization skills, creating lesson plans, rubrics and many more activities, such as creating songs about a subject to help students study.
“It took that thing five minutes, it would have taken me hours,” Hulbert said.
This year is the first year Hulbert has used this for her class, and she states that she will continue to use it in the future.
It also helps teachers get their lessons done in a timely manner.
“What you would have dug through textbooks for is at the tips of your fingers,” Hulbert said.
While this website is beneficial to Hulbert, it is also beneficial to the students in her class.
Junior Carys Cochran states that she struggles with things such as formatting and writing emails, but MagicSchool AI is a resource that helps her with that. It can also help her with ideas for job applications.
The popularity of this website is starting to rise, and Cochran believes that it will grow more here at our school.
“It’s already becoming popular within our classes,” Cochran said.
In Hulbert’s year two class, her students can get certified with this website. The students take certification courses, and it provides slideshows with information on how to be safe with it and keeps them from plagiarizing.
