After seven years of teaching elementary-aged students, math teacher Ashley Ladnier is adventuring into high school.
Ladnier is excited to jump into this new experience, and students like freshman Mckenzie Hennis picked up on that.
“She brings energy to the class,” Hennis said.
Ladnier was driven from the moment in first grade when she really struggled in math, but had an amazing teacher, named Mrs. Kester. She pushed Ladnier to take a math test until she aced it. Ladnier is now a Foundations of Algebra teacher. She was also previously a teacher in L.C. Hatcher.
Ladnier is from Soddy Daisy, Tenn. and graduated from Tennessee Technological University. She has some adventurous hobbies that include hiking, kayaking and white-water rafting. She also enjoys the sunsets and sunrises, and her favorite color, orange, reminds her of them. She loves acoustic music, specifically artist Noah Kahan.
Ladnier moved to the George County area with her husband of two years and seven-year-old son so that they could be nearer to family. Because of this, she decided to teach at the high school.
Ladnier has found the staff here very supportive and kind, and the school well-organized.
