On Oct.27,the freshman class experienced a tragic loss. Camryn Hobby was 15 years old and enjoyed traveling west, fishing, spending time with family and friends and working out. His friends miss him dearly but still hold all the amazing memories they made with him.
“One of my favorite memories with Camryn was going to mess around in stores and getting kicked out,” Freshman Carson Adkins said.
Hobby was also very good at motivating his friends by giving them speeches.
“Everytime we would hang out in the backyard we would be around a big bonfire. He would stand up on a table and say ‘Word from Cam’ and just start having a whole motivational speech,” Sophomore Gavin Fairley shared.
Many of his friends will miss his unique laugh that always filled the room and his positive attitude.
“He always knew how to put a smile on your face,” Sophomore Payton Collins said.
Hobby really enjoyed talking to anyone and having any conversation he could.
“I miss the random Facetime calls from him waking me up at five in the morning and making me stay up till seven in the morning just talking and then going to sleep on the phone.” Collins said
Many of his old football teammates have many memories of Hobby.
“I miss playing defense with him and goofing off in the locker room,” Freshman Landon Havard shared.
Hobby is greatly missed as a classmate and made any classroom a little more fun.
“Anytime we were in Mrs. Hubbard’s classroom we would take people’s snacks and just have good conversations all around,” Havard said.
Camryn will always be missed and his friends and family will always hold special memories of him.
“I want people to remember him by his big heart he had,” Collins said.
