Science teacher who graduated from here in 2009 Haley Merritt, she always saw herself becoming a teacher for high schoolers. 

  She’s been married for 5 years and met her husband in Coach Baker’s room when she was in high school. Merritt has 2 children, she loves to craft and plant outside of school; she said, “ love your neighbors yourself. “

   She decided to come back to George County because it’s where she’s originally from, Merritt graduated from South Alabama in 2014 and got her Bachelor’s degree. She enjoys teaching high schoolers more because they understand a lot better for her when she’s teaching.
