Originally from Cleveland, Miss., Coach Kelly Causey joined the staff at George County High School as an alternative school teacher and football coach in early February.
Causey came to the high school because he knew Coach Ray from when they played football together in the past and thought it would be a good opportunity.
Causey graduated from Cleveland High School in 1987. He went to college at Delta State to earn his Bachelor’s degree and Arkansas State University where he received a Master’s in Education.
With 27 years of experience, Causey has taught Drivers Ed., Special Education and Physical Education. He has previously taught at Pass Christian, University of South Alabama, St. Martin and several other schools.
Outside of school, he enjoys spending time with his family. He has three kids and a grandchild who calls him “Big Daddy.” Causey also enjoys playing the video game PUBG, tennis, and deer hunting.
“Something interesting not many people know about me is that in college I played tennis,” Causey said.
