Lance Canoy has been teaching and coaching for 16 years. He has also been security for concerts in Jackson for stars like Snoop Dogg.

         Canoy is from Florence, Miss. He graduated from Florence High School and then went on to graduate from Delta State University. Canoy has taught at multiple schools which include Terry High School, Richland High School, Cleveland High School, Kosciusko High School, and now George County High School. Between all those schools he has taught health, psychology, safety Ed, drug Ed, and sociology.

         Canoy is a huge Ric Flair fan. “As a wrestling fan, the way he backs up his decisions,” Canoy said.

         Outside of work, Canoy loves to coach football. He also loves good books, ‘90s music, and walks on the beach. Canoy loves disney movies and his favorite is “The Little Mermaid”. He is also a Hallmark Channel fan. His favorite movie on the channel is “December Bride”.

        “I’m the man of the hour, man with the power, too sweet to be sour,” Canoy said.
