Although the season was cut short last year, the tennis team has had a great start this season and are making many improvements despite the challenges that come along with being new to a sport.

   “So far the tennis team has done really good because most of the guys and girls have never played before,” Cowart said

   The tennis team has been very successful this season winning many individual matches so far.

   “We did very well against Meridian winning most of those matches.” Cowart said.

   The team worked on practicing the fundamentals of tennis in the first three weeks and then switched to practicing strategies, but now since its mid season they are gonna work on the areas they are lagging in.

   “We went through fundamentals the first three weeks and now we’re working more on strategy but were gonna go back now and work on some fundamentals and the things that are lagging,”Cowart said.
