What are your goals for the position?

  • To ensure the public has complete transparency on budgetary items.
  • Improve school security and communication with parents/students.
  • To see every school in George County, achieve an A ranking.
  • To ensure the GC School Staff has a competitive pay schedule.
  • Improve the bus route issues and the shortage of bus drivers.
  • Promote vocational programs at the high school to ensure our students get a head start when entering the workforce.

How will you bring about change and improvement to the school district?

  • I plan on bringing fresh ideas and concerns to the board.  I have held chairs and been the chairman on numerous committees within Corporate America.  I realize one person cannot be the sounding board for the whole Board.  Every person elected to the School Board has an obligation to make the best decision for all involved, students, staff, and taxpayers.  This means at times one may not agree with the other Board Members but has a responsibility to speak up, don’t just agree and go with the majority.

What are your qualifications to run for this position?

  • I am a Vice President and Board of Directors member for Acme Truck Line where, I have been employed for over 20 years.  I also owned and managed my own corporation who worked under Acme for 17 years.   I currently manage approximately 700 employees in 28 offices along the Gulf Coast.  My day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to operations, personnel, budgets, hiring, some HR issues, and property management.

What personal information do you want voters to know about you? (family, education, etc.)

  • I have been an active member of Barton Baptist Church for over 10 years.  I enjoy going on mission trips to Brazil, deer hunting, auto racing, and traveling with my family.  I have been with my wife Kristina Clark Pritchett for 16 years and married for 13.   We have 5 children and 2 grandchildren, Brayden, Ashton, Dylan, Kaitlin (Devin) Brown, and Kayla.  Brayden is a current student at Agricola Elementary School and will be transitioning to the middle school next year.  Ashton is in Nursing school at MGCCC and will Graduated next month, she was a GC Graduate.  Dylan is a full-time employee for Rolls Royce and a GC Graduate.  Kaitlin is a mother/homemaker and MGM Graduate.  Kayla is in Pharmacy School at William Carey and will graduate in May of 2023, she is a MGM Graduate.
